manners where?

i took to most terrible, ungracious bus ride of my life today.

- man put his bag on the seat next to him when the entire aisle was filled with people standing.
- not a single person (not even above mentioned man) gave up their seat to a obviously preggers woman. she stood for the whole of little india before someone off in front of her.
- people snatched seats from a preggers woman (same one as above.) she looked at me and sighed.
- 3 kids played their stupid mp3 from their phones at max volume. wang lee hom, some extreme death metal and some extreme malay rock were infiltrating the bus.
- the conductor had to physically push people to the back of the bus.

seriously, where has all the hard work of courtesy gone?
call ourselves a first world nation.
we have third world manners.

shame on all of us.

maybe not.

i'm starting to get worried.
where are you now?

coming to terms.

i've realised: it's time to fuck it.

hidden talent.

here is another too cute to resist picture of baby zachary.

He is growing fast and furiously but has been a rather quiet and managable baby.
my sis in law is doing very well, recovering all too fast.
my brother? as usual lah, told me that day the baby said PAPA.

This week flew by too fast.
I managed to get my mojo going for work. so far it's been trying, figuring out terms and getting use to clients' idiosyncrasies. But i have to say, my company is letting me take on more work then i expected which is awesome.

throwing me into the deep end, or more aptly - the shark pool.

apart from that, i've just been clinging on to anytime i have left to spend it with the people that matter to me and doing things i like.

thats the key to prevention of burning out. All the late nights in the office, all the 24/7 emails you get will eventually wear you thin. i come to realised there are only 24 hours in a day and after that 24th hour, you start again.

so on weekends, i dedicate to doing things i like. I actually make an effort to wake up early and go for breakfast with my parents. I go out with the beau and maybe have drinks with my friends.

and most importantly, try very very hard not to call/email/communicate with my clients and so far, they have been understanding. but come monday, its all systems go again. thankfully, the week goes fast and somewhat painlessly.

well, TGIF tomorrow :)
